It Started With a Bag

When someone in need enters a new situation such as rehab and sober living centers, they often do not have any basic essentials with them. When someone successfully exits the program, they are usually given a paper bag for belongings. 

Below is just a glimpse of what we set out to do and accomplish.

 We took as many pictures as we could remember to take. 

In the beginning we collected donations and have now delivered over 1500 bags filled with toiletries and zippered Ikea bags with name tags to sober living centers and shelters. The recipients couldn't have been more appreciative and felt the help was a great start for a new beginning. The goal is to remind others they are not alone and to restore a layer of dignity along the way.  We surpassed our goal by hundreds of bags!

We added bags of comfort to those that needed a little hug, and delivered bags of warmth and distractions for people receiving treatments, enduring hospitalizations, and for their supportive families too. 

We continue this mission privately.
